Born on the Vernal Equinox in the greatest city in the world, Madison, WI, Anthony Lamarr knew early in life that he was meant for the stage. From writing and producing plays for the neighborhood children to the moment he first stepped in front of an audience as Roger in Grease, Lamarr was destined for international greatness as a cross-disciplinary music talent.

While attending music camps in the early 2000s, he began working with his first A Capella group, Not From Concentrate. A group of 8 individuals, these young men released 2 albums giving Lamarr his first taste of creating, producing and recording music. From this humble beginning, Lamarr went on to co-create “7 Days,” the University of Minnesota’s first co-ed A Capella group. “7 Days” will be celebrating its 10-year anniversary in the fall of 2013.E

After graduating from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts, Lamarr returned to his home town and began immersing himself in the Madison area music scene. As a vocal percussionist, he began performing and recording with The Compass Rose. Still touring to date, Lamarr has performed in over 400 shows around the country.

As a solo artist, Lamarr received the 2011 Madison Area Music Awards Song of the Year for his faith-based “My Tomorrow.” His broad range of vocal capabilities and song writing skills has led him to complete his first trilogy of albums: Opening Night: A Symphony From Sorrow, Intermission: The Learning Never Stops, and Act Two: The Way of the World. Spanning over a vast array of musical genres this trilogy compiles a number of award-winning musicians to unite music-lovers worldwide.
